If you enter www.adobe.com into the address bar of your browser and then follow Adobe's links to FlashPlayer you'll ne fine. Many of the problems people have had with falsh is from clicking on an upgrade pop up or link and getting redirected to a questionable site like softonic where they get an 'altered' version of the installer. Though Catalina introduces Mac users to a whole new world of iOS apps that are ported to work on the Mac — including native Apple solutions like the News app — older apps will no longer work.

Most current releases of Adobe apps are compatible with macOS Catalina 10.15.
  1. This will open the Utilities folder in Finder showing the Adobe Flash Player Install Manager application. Right-click on the application and select Move to Trash. To complete the removal of Flash Player, go to Finder and in the Search field, type “installflashplayer”.
  2. It is not recommended to install Flash in Safari on Mac. Most modern web browser will not have Flash Player installed by default anymore, or are deprecating the plugin due to performance or other reasons. Many older web browsers still have the Flash Player available either as an option, or built-in and bundled with the browser.
  3. If you see the Flash Player EOL information screen when you try to play a game, that means that SeaMonkey is loading your installed Flash Player plugin instead of the plugin that is bundled with Flashpoint. To fix the problem, uninstall Flash Player from your Mac and restart Flashpoint. Games should work again in SeaMonkey.

Can I use my Adobe apps in macOS Catalina 10.15?

We've updated most current apps to 64-bit architecture. The following versions work in Catalina, but have these known issues.

Most older Adobe apps were created using 32-bit architecture and do not work in Catalina. Web video plugin for mac from hikvision. (It is not a comprehensive list of all older 32-bit Adobe apps.)

Uninstall 32-bit apps before upgrading to Catalina

Before you upgrade to Catalina, we recommend that you uninstall your 32-bit Adobe apps. Older uninstallers are also 32-bit apps and don't work in Catalina.

If you already upgraded to Catalina, you can use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to uninstall older versions of Creative Cloud apps.

2. Run the uninstaller applicable to your Mac OS version

Beginning with Flash Player 11.5, uninstalling the Flash Player resets the AutoUpdateDisable and SilentAutoUpdateEnable settings in mms.cfg to their default values:

  • AutoUpdateDisable=0
  • SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0

If you are running the Flash Player uninstaller as part of your deployment process, redeploy any custom changes to either AutoUpdateDisable or SilentAutoUpdateEnable.

Run the uninstaller on Mac OS X 10.4 and later, including macOS

  1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:

    • Mac OS X, version 10.6 and later: uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg
    • Mac OS X, version 10.4 and 10.5: uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg

    The uninstaller is downloaded to the Downloads folder of your browser by default.

  2. In Safari, choose Window > Downloads.

    If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), click the Downloads icon displayed on the browser.

  3. To open the uninstaller, double-click it in the Downloads window.

    Note: If the Flash Player installer window does not appear, choose Go > Desktop in the Finder. Scroll down to the Devices section and click Uninstall Flash Player.

  4. To run the uninstaller, double-click the Uninstaller icon in the window. If you see a message asking if you want to open the uninstaller file, click Open.

  5. Bookmark or print this page so that you can use the rest of these instructions after you close your browser.
  6. To close all browsers, either click the browser name in the Uninstaller dialog, or close each browser manually and then click Retry. Unfollow by megan phelps roper summary.

    Note: Do not click Quit in the Uninstaller window. It stops the uninstallation process.

  7. After you close the browsers, the uninstaller continues automatically until the uninstallation is complete. When you see the message notifying you that the uninstallation succeeded, click Done.

  8. Delete the following directories:

    • <home directory>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player
    • <home directory>/Library/Caches/Adobe/Flash Player
  1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:

    • Mac OS X, version 10.3 and earlier: uninstall_flash_player_osx_10.2.dmg (1.3 MB) (updated 05/27/08)
  2. Choose Window > Downloads to view the downloaded uninstaller.

  3. Save the uninstaller file in a convenient location.

  4. To open the uninstaller, double-click it in the Downloads window.

  5. To run the uninstaller, double-click the Uninstaller icon in the window. If requested, enter your computer user name and password and click OK.

  6. Bookmark or print this page so that you can use the rest of these instructions after you close your browser. Close all browsers and other applications that use Flash Player, including instant messaging applications, SWF files, and projectors (EXE files that play SWF files). Otherwise, the uninstaller cannot finish (even though it appears to finish).

    Once the uninstaller finishes, the window closes automatically.
